Ms. Johana Arias is a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia. She earned her master of laws degree in Business and Finance Law from the George Washington University Law School. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.
Prior to joining Hayman-Woodward, Ms. Arias worked as a research assistant to Dean Rosa Celorio, professorial lecturer for International and Comparative Legal Studies and director of the International and Comparative Law program at GW Law. While pursuing her J.D. degree, Ms. Arias worked as a judicial intern at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia for the Presiding Judge of the Family Court, The Honorable Judge Hiram E. Puig-Lugo. She also worked at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia serving as a judicial intern for The Honorable Judge Anita Josey-Herring when she presided over a criminal felony docket. Ms. Arias also worked as a judicial intern for the Arlington Immigration Court.
Ms. Arias speaks English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys reading and kayaking.
