Mr. Pieter Wasung earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012.
Prior to joining HAYMAN-WOODWARD, Mr. Wasung worked for a law firm in Miami representing clients on employment and family-based immigration law, including investor visas, green card petitions, petitions for family members, citizenship, fiancé visa petitions, visa extensions, and motions to reopen and reconsider. Additionally, he has advised Latin American citizens in obtaining legal status in the U.S.
Mr. Wasung also earned his law degree at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 2002. During his time there, Mr. Wasung worked at the oldest standing law firm in Mexico as an intern in the corporate division, focusing on business immigration. He is licensed to practice law in Mexico. For three years, Mr. Wasung worked for one of Europe’s largest agribusiness banks and for a top law firm doing administrative litigation in Mexico. In 2008, Mr. Wasung obtained an MSc. in International Strategy and Economics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he obtained a distinction on his dissertation.
Mr. Wasung is now licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in the District of Columbia.
I am a member of the District of Columbia Bar and my practice is limited to representation before federal agencies consistent with D.C. Court of Appeals Rule 49(c)(2).
